What is Bamboo Charcoal Fabric?
SPORTINGTEX® Bamboo Charcoal fabric uses 4 years old Taiwan bamboo which is carbonized in a traditional kiln at a temperature of 800℃ and then processed with Nano-grinding and biochemical spinning into the fiber.
The porosity of Bamboo Charcoal is about 5 times as compared with wood charcoal; the absorption is therefore 10 times powerful. Moreover, the observation of the porosity from Bamboo Charcoal uses an electron microscope to magnify it 500 times, the average surface area of each gram of bamboo charcoal is 250m2 ~ 300m2 (about the size of a football field). Therefore, the adsorption capacity of Bamboo Charcoal is very strong, it not only absorb moisture and deodorize unpleasant smell, it absorbs chemical toxic substances as well.
